The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is excited to announce that Phetchaburi Province has joined Thailand’s UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN) as a member of UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy. Situated approximately 160 km south of Bangkok, has garnered global recognition for its exceptional production of high-quality sea salt, key limes, palm sugar, rose apples, pineapples, and bananas. Aptly dubbed the ‘City of Three Tastes’ for its savory, sweet, and tangy flavors, Phetchaburi embraces a farm-to-fork ethos, with local farmers directly supplying fresh produce and seafood to various establishments and households across the province.
The city’s gastronomic heritage and artisanal craftsmanship serve as the bedrock of its tourism allure. Phetchaburi seamlessly integrates tradition with contemporary development strategies, emphasizing sustainability and fostering equitable prosperity throughout its communities.
